Quilt "Drunkard's Path" ca:1900
Oil on Canvas signed A.Burns (lr) 16"x24" plus frame.
The only listing I could find was in Davenports for Archibald Burns (1894-1959)
who was born in Campbell, Calif and spent most of his life in Marin County. In 1927,
founded the Marin Society of Artists. I have seen a nearly identical oil offerred
from the UK on ebay that was signed F.E. Jamieson. We know that artists
often paint the same scenes..so, I don't know what to make of it. If anyone
knows A.Burns or this painting, please email me.
